Internet has become an addiction

The internet is among the most important of recent developments in communications. It now plays an essential role in the provision and dissemination of information an entertainment . To access or send out information an internet user needs only a computer or a cell phone with the necessary software.  

As a result it has become an indispensable and fast tool, specially for students (mostly young people) who need it to down load information or just to socialize and get entertainment. That is why it is possible to assure  that it is becoming an addition for many people and, turning into a real harassment for them.  

Often students don’t realized that they’re becoming addicted to the internet, but in fact, they spend long periods of time in front of their computers, indeed  they don’t do any other thing but surfing on the net . This is a consequence of  negative feelings like loneliness, that after a while becomes into anxiousness and depression. Instead of going to take a walk they prefer to go on line.  

They start losing contact with people, and parents don’t seem to car, because they believe that being addicted to the internet is not that bad, comparing it with drugs or alcohol consumption. They’re absolutely wrong, for the reason that their offspring are becoming more and more isolated and they start having problems with their health, they are not eating very well and they are also having problems to sleep and concentrate. 

As a conclusion, whoever can be a victim of internet addiction. It is not just a problem that affects young people, it can be a problem for people at different ages.  Be careful with the time you are spending surfing on the addictive world of the internet…
